The Solus Verde was one of a few worn down, heavily adapted vessels that had docked in a semi-circle at the far end of one of the valleys on Ruusan. The planet was in rather rough shape, not exacally a gem of the galaxy like Naboo was, but it was hard to find, and that was what made it such a valuable planet to have in one's starcharts. Relatively forgotten for several centuries, it had recently been rediscovered by a smuggler excecuting a random hyperspace jump to avoid Imperial forces. The creation of a small outpost had been undertaken, and in digging to create basements and cellars the artifacts had began to be discovered. It was surprising how tight lipped someone could be when wealth was to be had, which explained the small number of ships here. Karth wouldn't have even known about it if he hadn't been in contact with one of the senators who spent time in the Arkanis sector, but how the old senator knew about a planet that hadn't been on the charts for ages was beyond him.

While some still focused on building up the outpost, others were now fully focused on excavating. Karth wasn't usually the sort to miss getting his hands dirty, he was taking a break at the moment seated in the shade of the Solus Verde's wingspan. Seated on a crate with his legs kicked out infront of him, a cool drink in his hand, he watched as Vex emerged from the ship's hold with several high grade explosives. "Something tells me people will pay more for the whole artifact, rather than fragments." he merely commented offhandedly, and the droid let out a sigh thick with sarcasm. "Fine." He dropped the explosives into the dirt, which made Karth wince despite knowing they had safty precautions.

"By the way, I...found these." the droid said, unslinging a cloth sack from his shoulder and tossing it towards the pilot. Karth looked into it skeptically. "By found, do you mean there is an angry treasure hunter out looking for it?" The droid simply chuckled without replying. Karth cast a quick glance around, then rose up and moved quickly into the ship's lower cargo bay to get out of view. Emptying the contents onto an unopened crate of medical supplies, he was surprised by what he found. A long cylindrical device, which he recognized as a lightsaber similar to the one Vex took from Dantooine. That was the most interesting, the rest being pieces of old technology and a few scraps of rolled up parchment that he couldn't make heads or tails of. Just then, a knock came on the outside of the hull, causing the ship's captain to jump and look over. There was the angry archeologist, and a few friends. Great, where was the droid when he needed him. Rolling his eyes, Karth rolled up his sleeves and turned to face them, as if preparing for a brawl. However, he quickly reached back and grabbed an ancient pistol from the pile of antiques. He knew it would not fire, so he flung it at the heads of the hostiles, then slammed the button that would close the boarding ramp. As it closed, he dashed to the front of the ship. "Vex, get back here, we're punching out early!" Engines began to fire up, and in the distance, an explosion rippled across the plains.

Oh, there the droid was.

Vex came sprinting through the dust and debris towards the ship, moving at inhumane speed while the archeologist ran the opposite direction towards what Karth supposed was his now disabled ship. Vex leapt up through the exterior airlock door and the Solus Verde rose from the ground, stirring up more dust as its engines whined, propelling it forward and skyward. "I'm gonna turn that droid into scrap metal when I let him in." For now, he could hang on while the confines of space rushed past him. Served him right. Now all that was left was to find someone interested in the lightsaber.

He would put out a notice on the holonet. Perhaps the Jedi would be interested in this piece of history from Ruusan...or maybe the Sith would be more intrigued.
