It is possible that the Senate may be able to relocate to a safe location if the Jedi Council sees fit to provide a safe haven. However, we must consider the ramifications that going into hiding will have. At the moment, the Senate is a symbol behind which planetary governments can rally in their struggles against the Empire. We are seen as being in open opposition to the Empire since the attack at Iczell, and any signs of retreat may be seen as a weakness. I believe this is a topic that should be discussed.
Also, the Jedi are indeed strong allies. They were once the defenders of peace and justice in the Galaxy, and that may still be so, but I would not put it past the Jedi Order to expect sacrafices on our part for their allowance to their safe haven. While we remain in our own locations, it will be on our own terms. If we take the Jedi up on their offer, it will likely be on their terms. Using one example that will likely be easy to relate to, as it happened recently, the political prisoner with ties to the Sith. If we move to the Jedi's location, they will likely suggest he be taken into their complete custody, perhaps removing all chances we get to find answers of our own. While I trust the Jedi, they are not always known for trusting those outside of their order. Perhaps for good reason. Still, I urge you all to think carefully about what the outcome will be if we decide to take the Jedi up on their offer, if they do choose to extend their hospitality to us.
I will put it to a vote: If the Jedi send us the co-ordinates to a new location, do we relocate the Senate?
