I have the desire to make my own droid and that will be my roleplaying character. Of course it will be expirimental and of private creation. One of a kind, but here's some basics.

It is technically a hacker droid.
It doesn't float it rolls around as it has a set of precise internal balances. It can move around 12-25mph after it is done accelerating. It is a sphere the size of a basketball and as for visual sensors it uses a type of sonar, but instead of sound it uses the change in temperature. So he could feel someone gettig close by body heat. For actual visuals he needs to be connected to something. It connects by 6ft long quantum cables it has 4 of them, they snake around by way of the cables being multiple threads held together by small weaves, the larger strands are influenced by electric pulses that are specific to a strand to make them bend without too much difficulty. It has a input slot for datacards. The AI core is extraordinally dense in it's complexity. The creator made it so it can take quite a bit of damage. Not a very amazing outer shell. Can take a civilian issue blaster pistol without breaking.

The power supply will be compact to fit in with all the circuitry and wiring components. But it still needs to be powerful enough to support it for decent periods of time. I was thinking unstable. I wouldn't like for it to be radioactive but it could be possible. As for intelligence a highly complex learning AI. A Neutral Character.

Weakness. Doesn't have much in the way of strength or defense And is extremely vulnerable and doesn't have a base attack. To solve this. I would like this droid to have a resident droid body. Suitable for combat but the "body" is useless without the sphere. It's just a hunk of metal with a power supply. To be honest I imagined the body to be along the lines of an IG-100 series. Mobility. A custom could be made but it is a good template. Though it still has to be built somehow. Either torn up research ship that had gone through an asteroid or meteorite belt. Or if it is better. I could just make a void charachter to build him. Or blueprints are discovered detailing how to build it. Etc. There are plenty of options.

Well that's a nutshell. If you want more details I'll do my best to come up with an answer. Criticism is smiled upon. Give it consideration. I put a whole 10 minutes into thinking this up. Including how long it took it to write this down.
