As a first order of buisness, I move to abolish the title of Chancellor from the Senate. While once the Chancellor's office stood for all that was good and right and just in the galaxy, the title brings with it the taint of the darkness. It was under the last appointed Chancellor that democracy fell, and the Republic with it. The title of Chancellor brings with it too many painful memories, and I for one will step down before I take on such a burden.

Therefore, I would propose that hereafter, the position be revised to Chief of State.

The motion will be put to an official vote when next the Senate meets.
